Lights, camera, action! Having a short video on your profile is a great way for consumers to get know you and the services you provide better.
Choose the right video editing software or App
There are several ways to shoot and edit a short video but the simplest is to use an app such as ‘Clips’ if you have an iPhone, or ‘QUIK’ on Android. You can download these apps for free on their respective app stores.
Shoot one or several short sequences demonstrating your service
You can film several sequences from an app or directly from your phone’s camera feature. You can then sequence these different short videos into one in these apps.
Edit your video
Keep your videos clean, clear and simple. You could add text or special effects, but we recommend focusing on the subject rather than the editing - unless you’re offering a film related class, in which case, I’m ready for my close-up, Mr. Demille.
What should I include in my video?
You should showcase yourself and the services you provide. Service is all about trust, so your community want to make sure you can deliver the service and that they will be satisfied. We recommend eliminating distractions by filming in a clean, quiet, well-lit area, unless you’re providing necessary context for your service.
If you film other people, make sure you get their written permission to do so and to publish the video online.
